Genre #1: Ted Talk

Anecdote: “ I know something that everyone in this room has been through. Do you guys remember when in school the teacher would get you all hyped up about an end of the year pizza party and then surprises you with this small piece of pizza and small plastic cup of cold coke. We all made fun of it and would continually reminise it. Well did you all know that the teacher was the one to pay for it from their own money.”

Hi, my name is Mohamed, and i’m here to tell you the life of a teacher. Being a teacher isn’t easy, but I love it. I love being a big part of a student’s life and helping them shape their great futures. I love being part of a person’s success. Whilst I love doing my job and it was my goal, it’s very hard to live a somewhat luxurious stress free life with it. Compared to the amount of work that I put into this job, I don’t get what I deserve. As fun as it is, its exhausting, having to continuously do work during your work hours, off hours, and weekends. From grading papers and tests for multiple students, to also planning future lessons to at least have some free time. I think with this field there is nothing called free time, especially with the pay. Imagine working weekdays and weekends for months, and only making about 50K a year. And having to also give tutoring lessons after to hopefully make ends meet. And living in the United States especially in the City. So at the end of the day when the teacher says we will have a pizza party, let’s all remember to say thank you to the person who provided it.
